The Call

THE CALL

Matthew 4:17 – From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Manchester was transformed from the City of Dope to the City of Hope.

We want this New Year to be a year of transformations, a year of miracles, a year of

restoration, and a year of hope through Jesus Christ.

Matthew 4:17 – Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The kingdom of heaven is the rule and reign of Jesus the King!

Matthew 4:19 (NLT) – Come, follow Me, and I will show you how to fish for people.

Our focus for 2019 – INCREASING INFLUENCE INTERGENERATIONALLY

We are called to advance His kingdom together!

Matthew 6:10 – Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We want to be representatives and agents of His Kingdom in 2019.

1. SPEND TIME WITH THE KING

To advance His kingdom, we must first know the King of the Kingdom!

To know the King, we must first receive Him as Savior and King of our hearts.

To know the King, we must spend time with the King.

a. Read at least one chapter from the Bible every day.

b. Meditate on one verse from that chapter every day

c. Pray the Lord’s Prayer slowly every day.

The Daniel Fast is an opportunity to spend time with the King.

As we spend time with Him, we are changed by Him.

Matthew 4:19 – Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Change can open the door for greater Kingdom Advance.

2. WALK IN THE AUTHORITY OF THE KING

Matthew 4:23 – And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the

gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

Matthew 4:24 – Then His fame went throughout Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people

who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed,

epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Matthew 4:24 (NLT) – HE HEALED THEM ALL!

Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

BELIEVE!!!!!

John 14:12 – Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do

also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Luke 10:19 – Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all

the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

3. LOVE PEOPLE WITH THE LOVE OF THE KING

We are called to love one another as He loves us.

John 15:12 – This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Our love for one another is a witness to the world.

We are called to love the lost, because Jesus loves the lost.

Matthew 9:36 – But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them,

because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

We are called to love the least of these.

Matthew 25:35-36 – For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me

drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you

visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.

Matthew 25:40 – Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My

brethren, you did it to Me.

Jesus Christ?
