A Voice Of Hope
A VOICE OF HOPE
John 20:8 – Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and
believed.
Jesus Christ, the Divine Son of God, the Word become flesh, breathed His last breath, and died.
The hope of the disciples that Jesus was the Messiah seemed to be crucified with Him.
Acts 2:24(NLT) – ............For death could not keep Him in its grip
THE TOMB IS EMPTY! JESUS CHRIST IS ALIVE!
There is resurrection hope in Jesus Christ.
How do we discover and live in Resurrection Hope?
1. BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION
John 20:2 – They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid
Him.
John 20:8 – Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and
believed.
See – To see with understanding, to suddenly perceive
Ephesians 1:18 – that the eyes of your heart be enlightened
Ephesians 1:18(NLT) – I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the
confident hope He has given to those He called.
Ephesians 1:19-20(NLT) – I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power
for us who believe in Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead.
May Lemke – Nobody can ever tell me there is no God and Jesus in this world.
2. HEAR HIS VOICE OF HOPE
John 20:11 – But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping.
John 20:14 – Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did
not know that it was Jesus.
John 20:16 – Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni” which means
teacher.
Jesus knows our name! His Voice is a voice of hope!
Isaiah 43:1 – Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.
Isaiah 43:2 – When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not
overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned.
Jesus is calling us into a hope-filled future.
3. BE HIS VOICE OF HOPE TO THE WORLD
John 20:17 – Go to My brethren and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to
My God and your God.
John 20:18(NLT) – Mary Magdalene found the disciples and told them, “I have seen the Lord!”
I HAVE SEEN THE LORD!
Mary is a voice of hope to the disciples.
Our calling as believers: share the resurrection hope we have in Jesus Christ.
Our calling as believers: Be His voice of hope to the world
JESUS IS ALIVE!
JESUS LOVES ME!
JESUS WANTS TO BRING HOPE TO ME!
JESUS WANTS TO BRING HOPE TO OTHERS THROUGH ME!

3. Are you living in His resurrection Life and Hope?
4. Are there areas of your life in which the enemy is robbing you of hope?
