Who You Say I Am Pt. 5

SIGNIFICANT

Ephesians 2:10(NLT) – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

Maybe this morning you are feeling unimportant, insignificant, unwanted, or unneeded.

Isaiah 43:1 – But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel; Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name: you are Mine.

Every person is a person created in the image of God.

Ephesians 2:10 – We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Workmanship – Work of Art, Handiwork, Speaks of God’s creative power fashioning and renewing our lives through the power of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:10(NLT) – He has created us anew in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 2:9 – But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

How do we live a life of significance for the Glory of God?

1.    BELIEVE HIS WORD

We are who He says we are!  We are His Masterpiece! Ephesians 2:10

Neil Anderson – There are no insignificant children of God.

Robert McGee – The feeling of significance is crucial to our emotional, spiritual, and social stability and is the driving element with the human spirit.

We often look for true significance in places that cannot ultimately provide it.

We are significant because Jesus loves us, Jesus died for us, and Jesus has plans and purposes for us.

I AM SIGNIFICANT IN CHRIST!

Mike Breaux – I’m already accepted. I’m already somebody.  I don’t have to strive or perform. My worth is not found in my possessions, titles, headlines and trophies…. I stand anchored in the love of God.

2.    ACCEPT HIS ASSIGNMENTS
Ephesians 2:10 – Created in Christ Jesus for good works.

Works – Assigned task

We are not saved by good works, but we are saved for good works.

Ephesians 2:10(NLT) – He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

The Lord has Kingdom Assignments for us in our families, at work, at school, in the Body of Christ.

WRITE TO PRISONERS

What is my assignment for this season of my life? What do You want me to do?

3.    WALK IN HIS ANOINTING
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

To walk in the plans and purposes of God, we need to walk in the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The anointing of God is the power of the Holy Spirit coming upon us, gracing us to do what Father God has called us to do.

Ephesians 2:8 – For by grace you have been saved through faith.

Grace is God’s unmerited favor. Grace is God’s ability. Grace is God’s Empowering Presence.

Grace is the anointing of the Holy Spirit enabling us to do in Him, what we could never do without Him.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit can flow through every believer.

Every believer is significant. Every believer is given Kingdom Assignments

Every believer can be anointed by the Holy Spirit to fulfill those assignments.
